Three Banned Iranian Rappers to Perform in Moscow – Mahyar, Shayea, and Hidden Reunite on Stage

In a landmark event for the Persian rap scene, three of Iran’s most influential yet banned hip-hop artists — Mahyar, Shayea, and Hidden — are set to reunite for a joint concert in Moscow. The performance will take place on September 27, 2024, at the Atmosphere Hall, offering fans a rare chance to see the trio perform live outside Iran.

The concert follows months of speculation and tension, particularly between Mahyar and Shayea, who had a public falling-out in late summer 2024. Despite the rift, both artists performed individually at the same venue in Moscow on October 5, 2024. Since then, signs of reconciliation have emerged — the two recently reconnected on social media, reigniting hope among fans for a renewed collaboration.

This upcoming show not only marks a significant moment of unity within the Persian rap community but also highlights the ongoing challenges artists face within Iran’s restrictive cultural environment.
